We are expanding Antares Prime from 145,000 square feet to 322,000 square feet, adding 187,000 square feet of adjacent, operable manufacturing and integration space, without constructing a new facility. Because this expansion uses existing operable space, we can execute quickly without disrupting ongoing work or relying on a multi-year construction effort.
Antares Prime is designed to tightly integrate design, manufacturing, and testing. By co-locating these functions, we enable faster iteration, higher confidence in system performance, and a clearer path from early demonstrations to repeatable production.
At steady state, the expanded facility is designed to support manufacturing our first 50 reactors, with a clear path to scale beyond that as demand grows. In addition, this expansion will enable continued research & development for new programs and applications. This capacity is critical for delivering nuclear power systems intended to be deployed in fleets, not as one-off demonstrations.
Antares Prime will produce the R1 microreactor and serve as the manufacturing foundation for future reactor variants and integrated energy systems across defense, space, and industrial applications.
